World Class Bird Watching awaits you.

020

We love winter in the Keys for many reasons like sunning on Key West’s beaches, biking in shorts and flip flops in January, beautiful sunsets, but what we really look forward to every year are all the birds that take refuge in the Florida Keys.  By springtime the mangroves will be filled with noises of baby birds that just hatched and a variety of birds in full plumage looking for love.  My husband George took this picture of this Great White Egret fishing on the flat off of Geiger Key during a Downwind Kayak Tour.  If you like birding and you want to escape the people on Duvall street take a kayak or paddle board and see what you may come across along the flats and mangrove habitats.
