Schooner Western Union
Categories: Schooner, Sunset sail

Sail into History Towering masts support massive white sails billowing in the wind. Balmy ocean breezes lift the aroma of fresh sea air across the wooden deck as soul-warming sunshine reflects off the crystal aqua water. Captain and crew engage you in tales of the last sailing cable tending schooner on earth. She’s one of the oldest working wooden schooner in the United States, the official flagship of Key West and on the National Register of Historic Places. Aboard the Schooner Western Union Maritime Museum, you’ll be transported to another era as you experience a one-of-a-kind journey through the glory days of this magnificent ship.

My fiance and I will be in Key West over Thanksgiving Weekend and would like to see the schooner to secure for our upcoming Wedding. Knowing you have day and evening sails, what would be the best time to visit the dock?
•Prior to our visit, we would like to have some preliminary information about your schooner:
•Where is your mooring location, address?
•Our parents may not wish to board, can a brief ceremony take place dockside and then set sail?
•How many passengers can it accommodate? I would imagine that we would fill the vessel with our guest. Is it based on per person or total Charter cost?
•What is the beam and the length of the vessel?
•How long is the sailing experience and what does it include?
•Are hors de’ouvres and beverages included? If so, please provide me with what is included in the price.
•Are we able to bring our own libation or catered food on board?
•Insurance; do you carry insurance, what are our liabilities for our guests that choose to board and sail?
•Is each person asked to sign a waiver?
You may contact me in my office Monday - Friday at 407-566-5946 from 8:00am-6:00pm or I may be reached after business hours on my personal cell phone at 407-758-4260.
