Local Appreciation Day at Geiger Key Paddle Hut
We love and support our locals! On Saturday, June 1, 2013 we co-hosted a Local’s Appreciation Day along with The Fish Camp at our Geiger Key Paddle Hut. Everyone had a chance to take a paddle board or kayak out & explore the surrounding flats and mangrove islands for free. Those who paddled had a chance to draw for a prize. Everyone who drew was a winner. The prizes consisted of t-shirts, free hourly rentals, free tours, Mel Fisher treasure coins, a musket ball from the Atocha with authentication, and much more. We had a fabulous turn out, with 60 Locals venturing out for a paddle. Thank you for those who came out to support us. A special thank you to Dave Yates and his wife Mary and Edward Fernandez for working hard to assure everyone got out on the water. The kids got into the action as well, including sitting under the hut playing chest or swinging in the Hammock.
