DANGER CHARTERS

Categories: Backcountry, Charters, Kayaking, Sailing, Schooner, Snorkel, Sunset sail

When you sail with Danger Charters, you sail to another world and time; to a place where the wildlife is still “wild”, and your interaction with nature is intimate and authentic. You  feel as if you’ve stepped back in time, back to the days when the Florida Keys backcountry was home to traditional, shallow-draft sailing craft, captained by local water men that had grown up sailing and navigating the notorious shallows and challenging narrow channels of the Florida Keys.

Explore the wondrous and enigmatic mangrove islands with one of our very knowledgeable nature guides. Learn all about the mangrove eco-system, while paddling through a maze of mangrove-canopied canals and streams, that are home to an incredible tropical array of birds, rays, sharks, sport fish, and more. And, no worries if you’ve never kayaked before; our kayaks are very stable sea kayaks that novices from ages 6 to 90 and beyond can easily paddle with a few simple instructions from your guide!

Danger’s specialty shallow-draft vessels visit a variety of private and pristine patch reefs in the calm and protected waters of the Florida Keys backcountry to provide you with an exceptional and personal underwater experience. And, due to the topography of islands and flats that surround the wildlife refuge, you can be assured of great visibility and calm seas while you snorkel amid a beautiful collection of corals, sponge gardens, tropical fish, and dramatic marine life.

Danger Charter’s Wind and Wine Cruise is unparalleled for folks who want an upscale, yet relaxed and intimate, sunset sail.  Sailing nightly, we serve eight different fine wines from all over the world, usually four red, three white, and a Champagnoise.  Wine drinkers love this cruise, since it is virtually the only sailing excursion in the U.S. that serves “real” wine.  In addition, an array of quality beer, and hors d’oeuvres are also served, making the evening an unforgettable start to a great Key West night!

Knowing you have day and evening sails, what would be the best time to visit the dock?and I will be in Key West over Thanksgiving Weekend and would like to see the schooner to secure for our upcoming Wedding. Knowing you have day and evening sails, what would be the best time to visit the dock?

•Prior to our visit, I would like to have some preliminary information about your schooner:
•Where is your mooring location, address?
•Our parents may not wish to board, can a brief ceremony take place dockside and then set sail?
•How many passengers can it accommodate? I would imagine that we would fill the vessel with our guest. Is it based on per person or total Charter cost?
•What is the beam and the length of the vessel?
•How long is the sailing experience and what does it include?
•Are hors de’ouvres and beverages included? If so, please provide me with what is included in the price.
•Are we able to bring our own libation or catered food on board?
•Insurance; do you carry insurance, what are our liabilities for our guests that choose to board and sail?
•Is each person asked to sign a waiver?
