Sail on board a 31′ Catamaran designed for shallow water (18″ draft).  Kayak around mangrove islands and snorkel a marine nursery teeming with tropical fish.  We offer a 4.5 hour Sail, Kayak, Snorkel tour 9am to 1:30pm or 2pm to 6:30pm.  We sail out to the Key West National Wildlife Refuge west of Key West.  We drop anchor and do a guided kayak tour around the mangrove islands looking for small sharks, sting rays, fish, and a variety of birds. We also snorkel on a soft coral and sponge garden, looking for lobsters, nurse sharks, conchs, eels, and variety of other marine life. We provide a light lunch, water & soft drinks, towels, and all your equipment.  We have plenty of shade under the bimini, or you can lay on the trampoline basking in the sun.  We have a fresh water rinse and a marine head on board.

Java Cat is located at Land’s End Marina in the historic Key West Bight.  Follow Margaret St. to its end at the Seaport. There is a city parking lot at the marina and Java Cat is on the boardwalk in front of Turtle Kraals restaurant.

Our catamaran is designed for sailing, so once we get out of the marina we raise our sails and use the wind. It takes about an hour to get out to our first stop in the National Wildlife Refuge, which gives your captain/guide plenty of time to tell you about the area and the plans for that days trip. It is also a good time to lay out on the expansive trampolines and watch the water and fish zoom by.
